Edward Gorey signed first limited edition of his second miniature book, ''Q.R.V.'', limited to 400 copies, of which this is #153. Boston: Anne & David Bromer, 1989. Consisting of 29 illustrations paired with rhyming verses, the notion of ''Q.R.V.'' is delightfully defined around its edges, in part, ''They caught him in an act of sin, behaving flagrantly; Judicial wrath decreed a bath in salts of Q.R.V.'', or ''When someone's tongue has reached your lung, it's time to use your knee; Regain your air of savoir faire by quaffing Q.R.V.''. Miniature hand-bound cloth book with paper label measures just over 1.5'' x 1.25''. Light shelf wear, overall near fine.
