Directors Guild of America medal awarded to Glenn Jordan for Outstanding Directorial Achievement for the 1976 episode of ''Family'' entitled ''Rites of Friendship''. Created by Aaron Spelling and Mike Nichols, ''Family'' was nominated throughout the 70s for both Outstanding Drama Series and in the acting categories. Large bronze medal features a relief portrait of an eagle clutching a strip of celluloid which reads, ''TV DRAMATIC '76'' Gusts of wind are depicted in the background and ''SCREEN DIRECTORS GUILD AWARD'' appears beneath the eagle's beak. Written on the border are the words, ''FOR OUTSTANDING DIRECTORIAL ACHIEVEMENT / GLENN JORDAN / RITES OF FRIENDSHIP''. Measures 4.5'' in diameter. Comes housed in original DGA box measuring 6'' square. Small scuff on edge, otherwise near fine condition with brilliant luster.
