Vince Lombardi typed letter signed upon Green Bay Packers letterhead, dated 23 November 1965. Lombardi pens an intriguing letter to Look Magazine Sports Editor Tim Cohane, in part, ''Dear Tim: As usual, it takes me forever to get around to writing a letter, however, I am really embarrassed for not writing to you sooner. / Things have been a little rough here and I have had some important decisions to make. / Needless to say, I was most surprised to learn of your resignation from LOOK, but I know your new venture will be a fruitful and successful one. I also know you will be much happier...[signed] Vince''. Cohane and Lombardi's history went back thirty years previous to this letter, when Cohane famously described the 1930s offensive line at Fordham University, which included Lombardi, as ''The Seven Blocks of Granite''. Letter measures 8.5'' x 11''. Discoloration from tape to margins, otherwise near fine condition with an excellent, bold signature by Lombardi.
