Abraham Lincoln magic lantern slide, taken by photographer Christopher S. German in Springfield, Illinois on 9 February 1861, two days before he left for Washington DC for his inauguration. Glass slide photograph is #O-43 in the Lincoln photo canon, and measures 4'' x 3.25'' including casing. Paper label on side reads ''Private Collection of George S. Paine''. Very good condition.
