Large silk flag with 37 stars to welcome Nebraska's entry into the Union on 1 March 1867. Parade flag measuring 11.5'' x 7.5'' is the rarer ''Great Luminary'' pattern, where the individual stars are configured to create a larger star, dating to the 1870s. Flag is attached to a wooden staff measuring 17.5''. Some fraying to flag and partially detached from staff along the lower portion, but overall in very good condition, with striking visual appeal.
