''A King's Story'' limited edition, signed by its author, His Royal Highness Edward, the Duke of Windsor. London: Cassell, 1951. Volume is bound in publisher's teal morocco leather with gilt lettering to spine, gilt armorial coat of arms to front, five raised bands, and top edge gilt. This opulent teal morocco is much more rare than the rust morocco leather, also issued by the publisher. Signed ''Edward'' on the limitation page, this copy is #237 of 270 in the limited edition. Dedicated to Wallis Simpson, for whom he abdicated the throne, Edward's autobiography recounts his life as the ''Little Prince'' up until his abdication, with reflections upon the grave responsibility of King. Book is profusely illustrated with photographs of Edward's life, including a tissued frontispiece. Measures 6'' x 9.25''. Housed in original marbled slipcase, cracked along top edge and with glue residue along edges. Minute sunning to spine and light toning to book, otherwise a near fine copy.
