''Memoirs by Harry S. Truman'' signed special Kansas City first edition set. Two-volume set, with each volume signed by Truman, comprises ''Year of Decisions'' and ''Years of Trial and Hope'', covering Truman's presidency during WWII. Published by Doubleday & Co., Garden City, NY: 1955. Truman inscribes both volumes on the half-title pages. Volume one reads, ''To William R. Sinkia / Kind regards / yours / Harry Truman / 9-22-64''. Volume 2 reads, ''Best wishes to William R. Sinkia / yours / Harry Truman / 9-22-64''. Both volumes are bound in black cloth boards with blue and silver lettering, and top edges green. The first volume has minor shelf wear to binding with 1'' incision in backstrip; the second volume is separating at front hinge. Interiors are otherwise clean on both volumes. Dust jackets are absent. Overall very good condition.
