Emmy award presented at the 1971 Primetime Emmy Award ceremony. Emmy was won in the category of ''Outstanding Achievement in Film Editing'' for the NBC special ''Cry Help!''. The iconic winged woman holding an atom stands on the convex, grid-lined surface of a round metal base, plated in 18k gold. Flat perimeter of base reads: ''THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF TELEVISION ARTS AND SCIENCES''. Plaque is engraved with 6 lines naming the award, its category and recipient: ''1970-1971 TELEVISION ACADEMY AWARDS / Outstanding Achievement in Film Editing / For News And Documentary Programming / ROBERT B. LOWEREE and HENRY J. GRENNON / Cry Help! An NBC White Paper On Mentally Disturbed Youth / April 25, 1970 - NBC''. Emmy measures 15'' in total height with 7.5'' diameter base, and weighs 6 lbs., 4 oz. Heavy oxidation to the gold plating, which is flaking off in some areas. Overall good condition.
