Benito Mussolini autograph letter signed, date-stamped 2 March 1926, a month before Mussolini survived his first assassination attempt and as he consolidated power around himself. Written as Italian Prime Minister and Duce of Fascism, Mussolini writes on black-bordered ''Head of Government'' stationery to his Finance Minister Giuseppe Volpi: ''Dear Volpi, If it is true that state assets are administered by your Ministry, the letter I am enclosing falls under your area of responsibility. / The author is - naturally! - the hunter, as well as marquis and honorable etcetera, Giorgio Guglielmi. / Mussolini''. Single page measures 8'' x 10.5''. Small punch hole and .25'' closed tear along right margin. Very good condition.
