George Custer signed envelope, made out in Custer's hand to his wife ''Mrs. G.A. Custer''. Envelope was sent to his wife Libbie in Monroe, Michigan, with ''Care of Col. Baxter'' also added by Custer. Postmark bears the city of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, dated 30 October. Measures 5.25'' x 3.25''. Toning and uneven tearing to right edge from opening. Very good condition.
