Former Nazi, Albert Speer typed letter signed, dated 27 July 1971, five years after release from prison for war crimes. Speer writes to an American acquaintance Elaine Lincoln in German, "…Today I must be brief because my wife and I are in Heidelberg the 21st and 22nd of September. Maybe you'll call when you find time. We could then meet in the evening or the next morning. Because as per your timetable your journey only continues in the afternoon from Heidelberg. Best wishes, yours [signed] Albert". Folded document on Speer's personal letterhead measures 8.25" x 11.5". Lightly toned, else near fine condition. With full translation.
