Lengthy teletype of an interview with Lee Harvey Oswald in his role as Secretary of the Fair Play for Cuba Committee. The debate was taped on 17 August 1963 with reporter Bill Slatter and Bill Stuckey, just three months before Oswald killed the President. In response to a question whether he would agree with Castro's opinion of Kennedy as a ''ruffian and a thief'', Oswald replies, ''I would not agree with that er particular wording.'' Single page measures 8.5'' x 14.5''. Type has lightened, though still very readable. From the Robert L. White JFK collection.
