Harry Kellar signed 8'' x 10.75'' matte photo. ''America's favorite magician'' at the turn of the 20th century signs, ''To Robt Grau Esq from his friend Harry Kellar.'' A contemporary and friend of Houdini, Kellar was famous for many signature illusions, including the levitating Princess Karnac. Photo was taken by the Marceau studio of Philadelphia where Kellar performed during the 1880s and 1890s. He performed magic for more than 50 years before his 1908 retirement. Minor creasing to photo and mat, else very good.
