Impressive framed presentation with three signed items by Andrew Carnegie, including: (1) Autograph letter signed by Carnegie from 22 May 1903 upon his Skibo Castle letterhead. Carnegie sends a few words of advice, writing, ''...If any man young or old wins the approval of his own conscience he is on the right path...Andrew Carnegie''. Very good condition. (2) Typed letter signed, dated 27 November 1916 on his New York stationery, where he gives thanks to his nephew on Carnegie's 81st birthday. Signed ''Andrew Carnegie / Uncle Andrew''. Very good condition. (3) Signature, ''Andrew Carnegie'' on his personal New York letterhead. Folds and discoloration to upper right; very good condition. An American businessman who led the expansion of the steel industry in the 19th century, Carnegie donated the equivalent of $230 billion in the last 18 years of his life. Frame measures 29'' x 39''. Frame has some spotting to mid-section of mat, otherwise very good.
