Framed presentation includes large gold record and plaque that reads: ''Presented To / GORDON LEE 'TEX' BENEKE / In Recognition Of His Outstanding Achievements And Contributions To American Popular Music / March 1972 / Richard Hecker''. Accompanying letter written to Tex from Richard Hecker explains that both the original RCA Gold Record and one later presented in 1970 were unjustly taken back. Gold record measures 19.5'' x 23'' and weighs 9 lbs. 13 oz. Some wear and spotting to gold record, overall very good condition.
