John Lennon photograph from 1974 by photographer Bob Gruen, who served as Lennon's personal photographer during his time in New York City, and who captured the famous image of Lennon wearing his New York City t-shirt. Here, Lennon relaxes on a couch, looking thoughtfully, off-camera, hand covering the lower part of his face. Bob Gruen's backstamp appears on photo's verso, reading ''Photo Copyright 1974 / Bob Gruen'', with other pencil markings and a tracing of the couch in the photograph done in red ink. Photograph measures 9.5'' x 6.5''. Some creasing throughout and a small spot of discoloration in background. Very good condition.
