Tarzan author Edgar Rice Burroughs check signed, dated 3 February 1939 to a bookshop. Check is drawn from Burroughs' personal bank account and bears his name and city of residence, "Tarzana, California", a town he founded based on his wildly popular character, a boy raised among African apes. Check measures 8.5" x 3". Discreet cancellation marks, not interfering with the large "ER Burroughs" signature. Near fine.
