Ernest Hemingway's ''The Green Hills of Africa'' first edition. Scribners: New York: 1935. First printing of book is evidenced by the publisher's ''A'' mark on the copyright page. Hemingway's non-fiction adventure tale of big game hunting in 1930's Africa is peppered with stylish woodblock illustrations by Edward Shenton. Bound in leaf green cloth boards with gilt lettering. Sunning to front board and backstrip. Prior owner's notation to front free endpaper, otherwise very good condition with only minimal shelf wear. Second printing unclipped dustjacket with $2.75 price is chipped on edges; in good plus condition.
