William Howard Taft document signed, ''Wm H. Taft'' as President. Partially-printed document is dated 19 May 1911 and appoints one Robert O. Ragsdale to the position of Captain of Infantry. Document features an etched vignette at the bottom and an eagle scene at the top. Countersigned by J.M. Dickinson as Secretary of War and by the Adjutant General. Measures 15.25'' x 19''. Light buckling and chipping to blue seal, else near fine.
