Prominently signed ''Franklin Pierce'', document appoints one George P. Shrie as 2nd Lieutenant in the 3rd Artillery Regiment. Partially printed document measures 14'' x 18.5'', framed to 40.5'' x 28''. Weighs 16 lbs. Toning and folds, one through signature, and light discoloration to upper left. Very good plus condition.
