Dr. Seuss typed letter signed upon his personal stationery to a local teacher Diddo Clark. Dated 31 May 1972, Seuss writes in full: ''Dear Diddo, Your letter of May 29th arrived while we were packing to leave for Europe, where we are going tomorrow, so I'm afraid I am going to have to miss your third annual art show. I am sorry you will be gone before we get back, but I know we will be seeing you whenever you are up this way. In the meantime, please digest mentally the enclosed material concerning the catching of seals in West Greenland from 1862 to 1937. Also, the fascinating information concerning the Glatz family. Great luck in Sonora. We will be seeing you. Best, [Signed in red crayon] Ted''. Dr. Seuss was an advocate of environmental protection. Single page letter runs 7'' x 10.5''. Creasing and ink notation to verso, else fine condition. A typed letter from his secretary on his personal stationery is also included.
