Sign from the golden age of Hollywood, advertising the motion picture company ''Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures''. Established in 1924, MGM is credited for most of the biggest hits in Hollywood history, including ''The Wizard of Oz'', ''Gone with the Wind'' and ''Ben-Hur''. Painted metal sign reads: ''See Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures At Leading Theatres'', in raised black and red lettering against a golden yellow background. Ten small holes are present on the top and bottom for hanging. Measures 20.75'' x 11.75''. Some scattered rusting and chipping, very good condition.
