Ray Bradbury's award from the Writers Guild of America, ''For service during the Screen Strike / October 10 1959 - June 13, 1960''. At the core of this strike was the issue of movies that aired on TV and how much the writers' cut would be. In the years preceding the strike, Bradbury worked in television writing episodes for various series. Silver tone metal plate bears the Writers Guild logo at center. Bradbury's name is engraved at the top and the lower portion of the well bears the engraved signatures of 13 Guild representatives. Measures 13.5'' in diameter. Near fine. With a COA from the Ray Bradbury estate.
