Ray Bradbury vintage plate poster of an original etching titled ''Burning the Rumps at Temple Barr''. Etching was originally done by British artist William Hogarth and depicts political protest in 1658 against the Rump Parliament. After Cromwell's death in 1658, angry mobs took to the streets burning rumps of beef in the streets and calling for a ''free parliament'' and ''no more rumps,'' after Charles I was recalled to govern. With captions of the scene detailed along bottom, poster measures 25.75'' x 18.5''. Chipped edges and three separate 3'' tears to edges, though scene remains intact with toning only. With a COA from the Ray Bradbury estate.
