Sketch drawn by world-famous Italian opera singer Enrico Caruso, unsigned. Best known for his signature role as Canio in ''Pagliacci,'' Caruso was also an accomplished caricature artist. Caruso writes what looks to be ''G. Salvini'' to identify the man, likely an opera performer and acquaintance of Caruso. Portrait measures 4.5'' x 8.5'', taped to a white mat to an overall size of 5.25'' x 9.75''. Minor toning and smudging, else near fine. Identified as part of a larger collection of Caruso caricatures.
