Nine original ''Deb-U-Teen'' prototypes from the iconic 1950's collection. Levine designed the collection for Hasbro in 1959, before going on to create the immensely popular G.I. Joe series in 1964. This lot includes the original prototypes for the designs from 1959; all items were manufactured and silk screened for Hasbro in Central Falls, R.I. Included in the lot are: (1) Vinyl cream orange and black zippered pencil case with embossed illustration of a girl studying. Measures 8'' x 4''; (2) Diary with vinyl cream orange and black cover, with gold keylock and ''Dear Diary'' written to the front. Measures 4'' x 5.5''; (3) Two ''Dates and Mates'' notepads, one with vinyl cream, orange and black cover and the other with pink and black cover. Depicts young couple dancing. Measures 4'' x 5''; (4) Three dictionaries in pink/black, light blue/black and cream, orange and black. Illustrated with a depiction of a young woman studying. Measures 4.25'' x 5.75''; (5) One cream, black and orange notepad with stamps and seals which reads ''Swap Notes''. Measures 6'' x 5''. (6) One light blue/black notebook entitled ''Autographs''. Measures 6'' x 5''. All items are sealed in their original cellophane packaging. Near fine. From the estate of Donald Levine and with a COA from his widow.
