John D. Rockefeller typed letter signed, dated 15 January 1921 on his personal Ormond Beach, Florida stationery. Letter is addressed to Mrs. John McCampbell and reads in full, ''Thank you for your good letter of the 10th with the statistics on the farm business. I think you are a thorough accountant and that the presentation is very clear. I send hearty congratulations on the good results of the potato business, and hope this year may prove satisfactory. I hope business prospects may brighten with the opening of the new year and that you will well be able to accept of Mrs. Evans' invitation to look in upon us in this sunny clime. We are enjoying it very much, and are more and more comfortable in our new home each year as conditions are more settled.'' Signed boldly and clearly, ''John D. Rockefeller'', letter on one page measures 8'' x 10.5'' with minor folds and toning, else near fine. Includes original postmarked envelope.
