Lord Louis Mountbatten of Burma autograph letter signed. Written on ''H.M.S. Revenge'' letterhead, Mountbatten's letter is dated 26 July 1923. Letter reads in part: ''...Mr. Sidney Avery served under my father, the late Admiral of the Fleet the Marquess of Milford Haven (Prince Louis of Baltenberg)...[signed] Louis Mountbatten, Lieutenant RN''. Single-page letter measures 7'' x 8.75''. Creasing, light soiling and small tear at top left corner with some paper loss, else near fine.
