J. Edgar Hoover signed ''Kids' Letters to the FBI.'' Prentice-Hall, Inc.: Englewood Cliffs, NJ: 1966. The FBI director signs the front free endpaper, ''Best wishes / J. Edgar Hoover'' in blue ink. Each page of this humorous book contains a facsimile of a letter sent from a child to the FBI or to Hoover directly. One child writes: ''Dear FBI, I am Herbie. My grandma hits me. Do you have any handcuffs that will fit old ladies? Herbie Z. / Orange, California''. Runs 150pp. and measures 5.75'' x 8.25''. Bound in pictorial cloth boards. Slightly cocked with some denting to board corners. Very good.
