Bound in vellum and periwinkle blue cloth, this edition is #489 of 500 signed by Austen, who illustrates 12 full color pages, each measuring 10'' x 12.25''. Influenced by the art-deco movement of the time, Austen's illustrations of French nobility capture both the streamlined elegance and opulence of the style. Top edge gilt. In very good plus condition.
