Percy Crosby signed original art from his popular ''Skippy'' comic strip. Illustration depicts Skippy in his signature floppy checked hat and enormous collar and tie talking to two other young boys, each in oversize coats. Caption reads, ''Now when Mary MacArthur comes to the door, remember I'll keep at this bell all day until I sock some chivalry in you guys!''. Signed ''P.L. Crosby'' in black ink at lower right. Illustration in watercolor and ink measures 8.25'' x 7'' with some toning and foxing to upper right and a perforated bottom edge, as it was removed from a book. Very good.
