Typed Presidential resignation signed on replica White House letterhead, dated 9 August 1974. Letter reads in full, ''Dear Mr. Secretary: I hereby resign the office of President of the United States.'' Signed boldly ''Richard Nixon'' in blue ink at the conclusion. 1pp. letter measures 5.25'' x 8''. Faint stain to the right edge and a light smudge to the ink of the final letter stroke of ''Nixon'', likely from testing for authenticity, else fine. As the only Presidential resignation in American history, these highly sought-after souvenir letters are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
