King Francis I document signed, ''Francoys'' as King of France. Vellum document written in Old French dates to approximately 1523. Manuscript commands payment be made to two of his officers for an escort mission. Measures 19.5'' x 11''. A slice measuring 7.5'' runs from the right edge inward not affecting text, else near fine given age.
