Original ''Beetle Bailey'' 9-panel Sunday comic strip signed and dated 29 July 1956 by creator Mort Walker. The wildly popular and syndicated strip featured the trials and tribulations of the fictional U.S. military post, Camp Swampy. Strip features character Lieutenant Sonny Fuzz, a brown-nosing overachiever being heckled by his fellow troops, culminating in an accidental insult of his superior, General Halftrack. Signed and inscribed along bottom margin in pen, ''To Jack Warford With Best Wishes! Beetle and Mort Walker''. Strip in black ink measures 20'' x 15'' with a King Features Syndicate copyright. Pinholes to corner and minor toning, else very good.
