Brooklyn Bridge opening ceremony invitation. Official invitation to the 24 May 1883 celebration is addressed to Mr. Garrett Broner. The focal point of the card is an etching of the suspension bridge stretching across the East River to connect Manhattan and Brooklyn. Its original name, the ''New York and Brooklyn Bridge'' is printed in the largest font. Single-page invitation by Tiffany & Co. measures 9'' x 6.5''. Near fine overall.
