Bing Crosby typed letter signed. Crosby's letter to his friend Henry Schmidt, coach at the University of Santa Clara is dated 19 October 1973. Upon his personal stationery, letter reads in part, ''Dear Schmidty: I'm delighted to hear the news about the Park they're going to dedicate down there at Santa Clara in your honor. I can't think of anyone who more richly deserves such an accolade...All goes well here with the boys. They're quite busy, with a variety of activities and [youngest son] Nate jogs daily to build up his legs. Warmest best wishes, [signed] Bing''. Single-page letter measures 7.25'' x 10.5''. Near fine.
