Early Sex Pistols press kit from the legendary punk band's search for a record label in 1976. Within the unmistakably Jamie Reid-designed folder are 12 pages of magazine articles reviewing the Sex Pistols' earlier gigs around England. Even as an unsigned act, they'd already developed a reputation for raucous rebellion. A sidebar to a 24 July 1976 article reads: ''The Sex Pistols have run into trouble with promoters and club owners. They have been pulled out of the French European Punk Rock Festival on August 21 at Mont de Morsan by the promoters who think they have gone 'too far'...responsible for an incident during the recent Flaming Groovies and Ramones concert when a door was broken and a bottle thrown at Joey Ramone...'' Time Out calls them ''The nastiest cluster of individuals to have boarded a London stage in years''. Runs 12pp. on three double sheets. Measures 8.5'' x 12''. Creasing and very small tears along the right edge, else near fine.
