Pierre-Auguste Renoir worn silk scarf. Red scarf with white polka dots measures a large 50" x 16.5" and has fringed edges. Accompanied by a French magazine page with four photos of Renoir in the scarf, captioned, "Auguste Renoir in his workshop in the rue Caulaincourt in Paris, where he returned one last time in 1919." From the 19 September 2013 Heritage Auctions sale in New York City: "The Unknown Renoir: The Man, The Husband, The Father, The Artist". Scarf has been nicely maintained, in very good to near fine condition.
