Hand-painted glass pitcher and mug set gifted to studio head Darryl F. Zanuck by Lana Turner and Tyrone Power. Painted scene is of a traditional English hunt, depicting a pair of mounted horsemen in red coats and their hounds in hot pursuit of a twelve-point buck, which leaps over a tree stump, its mouth agape. Pitcher measures 9.25'' in height and 6'' in diameter at the mouth. Mug measures 5'' in height and 3.5'' in diameter at the mouth. Some chipping to paint on the mug, else fine. With an LOA from Zanuck's daughter that reads in part, ''The large handpainted pitcher 'The Hunt' was given to my mother and father by Ty Power and Lana Turner...''
