Dr. Seuss ''Bartholomew and the Oobleck'' first edition, first printing book with original dustjacket. All first edition points intact, including blue boards and illustrations in two colors. Random House: New York: 1949. Unique in the Seuss canon, as this book was written in prose instead of poetic meter. In it, King Derwin decrees that something new must come down from the sky and Bartholomew Cubbins saves the kingdom from the green, sticky oobleck that runs the kingdom amuck. Book runs 48pp. and measures 9.25'' x 12.25''. Some significant chipping to front and back covers of dustjacket; good condition. Minor edge wear to blue boards and spine; near fine condition.
