Typed letter signed by ''Godfather'' author Mario Puzo to his agent, dated 30 September 1976 on Puzo's personal letterhead. The letter, about an apparently unproduced movie, reads in part: ''Enclosed is over 60 pages of the 'desert' screen play for delivery to Paramount. According to the contract they now owe me another 30 grand...'' Puzo handwrites ''Best'' and signs ''Mario'' in black ink. Puzo also hand-corrects several mistakes in his letter, which measures 6.75'' x 10''. Near fine.
