Honus Wagner trophy, presented in 1923 by the ''Flying Dutchman'' himself to the winning team. Silver-plated baseball trophy cup is engraved on the front, ''Champions 1923 / McDonald Church League / Presented By / Honus Wagner''. Distinctive design comprises a double-handled cup sitting on an open trio of crossed baseball bats, positioned vertically to connect the cup to the base. Base features a scrolling grapevine motif and is dotted with a small baseball in the center. Underside bears the maker's mark of Dieges & Clust and the number ''210''. Trophy measures 12.5'' in height with a base diameter of 7.25''. Some shallow denting to the base of the trophy and minor tarnishing throughout. Trophy sits upon the base in two separate pieces, as issued. Near fine.
