Dated ''3/9/01'' on Stafford House, Dunbar, N.B. letterhead while serving in the Sudan, Wingate writes, ''...leave me out...if you are making up a shooting party as I have not shot for many years & feel sure I could not 'hit a haystack'. I shall bring my golf clubs on chance of a game...Reginald Wingate''. 2pp. letter measures 5'' x 8''. Thin chip to the left hand side, else near fine condition.
