Chester Gould hand-drawn ''Dick Tracy'' sketch signed, with autograph note signed. Gould created his famous cartoon detective Dick Tracy in 1931 and here renders him in profile in red ink. Sketch and note are written upon Dick Tracy logo stationery and dedicated, ''To The Art Students at Oakdale Junior High School - With best wishes / CHESTER GOULD / (I regret that my originals are temporarily 'frozen', pending negotiations for books) / C.G.'' Single page measures 8.25'' x 10.5''. Matted and framed to an overall size of 14.75'' x 17.5''. Letter has not been removed from the frame but appears near fine with only light toning.
