Bas-relief photograph signed upon mat, ''With cordial regards, W McKinley'' in black ink. The Bas-relief photographic process was said to embody both sculpture and photography, creating a 3-D effect, and was all the rage in the early 1900's. Image bears backsptamp of New York City's ''Taber / BAS-RELIEF PHOTOGRAPHS''. Photo measures 5.5'' x 7.5'' on a 10.25'' x 12.25'' thick beveled mat. Mat is toned along perimeter. Verso has light scuffs and stains. Toning and some surface loss to the bottom left. Very good condition.
