Living Hollywood legend Robert Duvall screen-worn ''hero'' police costume from ''We Own The Night''. Official-issue NYPD uniform was worn by the Academy Award-winning actor as Deputy Chief Burt Grusinsky in the 2007 crime drama. Four-piece costume includes: (1) Official NYPD navy blue wool uniform trousers with black stripe down the sides in size 38; (2) White cotton long-sleeved button-up shirt by Flying Cross in size 16/35, with a pair of metal star studs pinned to collar tips and police department applique to shoulder; (3) Official NYPD single-breasted navy blue wool uniform jacket, adorned with gilt metal buttons, a pair of larger gilt metal star studs pinned to shoulders and an NYPD applique to shoulder. Fully-lined unsized jacket measures 19.5'' across chest; (4) Officer's peaked cap of navy blue wool with black velvet band. Ornamental gold cord and buttons are applied to band, with gold oak leaves embroidered to visor. Size 7.5. Cap features a flat pouch of transparent vinyl sewn into crown. Brand label slipped into pocket identifies maker as B. Schlessinger & Sons Hand Tailored Uniforms and Caps. Also tucked into pocket is a wardrobe department tag hand-labeled ''Burt'' in black felt tip. Accompanied by wardrobe department's tag itemizing components of the ensemble, with printed label affixed to verso naming Duvall, his character and applicable scenes and changes. Cap shows minor buckling to gold band, scattered light stains to trousers and staining to white shirt, especially to the inside of the collar, else near fine. An homage to Duvall's enduring on-screen image as an oft-uniformed man's man.
