1999 Grammy nomination presented to ''Red Hot Chili Peppers'', one of the foremost music acts of the 1990's. Certificate nominates the band for a ''Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocal'' Grammy for their single ''Scar Tissue''. The popular song by the alt-rock band won the ''Best Rock Song'' Grammy that year, at the 42nd annual awards ceremony. Certificate bears the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences name and phonograph logo in gilt at the top, and is signed in print by Michael Greene as CEO and Leslie Ann Jones as Chairwoman of the Board. Accompanied by citation letter on Grammy stationery, also signed in print by the CEO and a blank ''Participation Certificate'' order form in a paper portfolio.
