Union Colonel William W. Jennings signed CDV photo. Jennings was from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and enlisted on 2 May 1861 as 1st Lieutenant in the 25th Pennsylvania Infantry. After transferring to the 127th PA Infantry, where he was promoted to Colonel, he served with the 26th PA Infantry Emergency Troops until 30 July 1863. Signed ''Col W. W. Jennings 127'' along the bottom of the portrait. The 26th Pennsylvania Infantry fought at Gettysburg, and a monument to them stands at Gettysburg today. Backstamped ''Photographed by Amey & Lemer, Wyeth's Hall, Harrisburg, Penn.'' Measures 2.5'' x 4''. Minor toning throughout, else very good condition.
