Rare first issue of ''Playboy'' magazine, December 1953, Volume I, Number I. Landmark issue of Hugh Hefner's pioneering and controversial men's magazine, featuring the famous color centerfold of Playboy's first ''Sweetheart of the Month,'' Marilyn Monroe, with ''First Time in any magazine / Full Color / the famous Marilyn Monroe Nude'' printed on the cover. Magazine, measuring 8.5'' x 11'', has the original black square printed to the upper right of the front cover and two-staple binding. Small ink notation to cover near price label, with minor creasing to covers and scattered light staining, else near fine. A rare treasure in superb condition.
