Very scarce final production script from the 1940 "Three Stooges" short film, "A Plumbing We Will Go", from the personal estate of Moe Howard. Comprising of one of the 190 shorts made by the Stooges for Columbia Pictures between 1934 and 1959, "A Plumbing We Will Go" was released on 9 April 1940 and is considered a quintessential short in the Stooges canon. The story hilariously follows the slapstick trio, Moe Howard, Shemp Howard and Larry Fine, who, posing as plumbers are asked by a high-society doyenne to fix her plumbing and of course, in making their "repairs", manage to destroy the entire plumbing system. Script has "J. Tyrell" handwritten on the cover, along with the name "Wilson," as Wilson was a character in the script played by actor John Tyrell, who appeared in many Stooges' shorts. Also printed on cover is "Columbia No. 462 / 1939 '40 / This script is the property of Columbia Picture Corp…Final / Aug. 5 1939". Script is fastened with two brass brads and has a chip at lower right corner of front cover. Very good condition. With a COA from Moe Howard's daughter.
